A painting believed to date from the 11th century BC has been uncovered by archaeologists in northern Syria, the country's official news agency SANA reported Monday.
Argh! No photos! If there was ever a story that needed an accompanying photo (other than those tagged 'hot-chicks', I mean), this is it...
No Pictures, In this day and age, should be unforgivable. Why do these folks not own those nifty little things called Digital Cameras? Argh! echo here!
Yeppers!!
Add me as another photo requester. I have no idea what a painting from 11th century bc might look like, but I'd love to.
Count me in, Synthesis!
Okay, I'll make it a mission to track down these photos if and when they exist. In addition to the Digital Journal story quoted here, there's also an International Herald Tribune version of the same AP article. Still no photos there either.
I will monitor various sites, including some Mid-East and Syrian sources over the next couple of days and see if there's a follow-up...
Great Synth! Our archeosleuth!
Would you email me when you find this? It is hard to track sometimes as these cool stories don't often reach the top o the vine.
If and when I find something, I'll do that Space Guy.
It should show up on your comment tracker, too...
Darnit, you beat me to it, Space Guy. I spent the next couple of days searching and came up dry, then forgot about it for a couple of days. Checked tonight, and found it, only to see how many days you beat me by!
Good job, and thanks!
I found it by accident i swear!
