When the Mayan calendar comes to a close on December 21, 2012, the earth will experience a major vibratory shift - an "ascension". This change in planetary dimensional consciousness will be accompanied by massive and destructive earth changes that will involve crustal displacement, pole shifts, earthquakes, flooding and cometary strikes.
Accompanying this cataclysm will be worldwide appearances by two factions of extraterrestrials, exemplified by the 'Grays' and the 'Nordics': the former, a malevolent Reptilian species in league with the military-intelligence/New World Order secret government and the latter a benevolent - almost angelic - race of spiritually oriented "guides to humanity."
Or, so, at least, goes the emerging storyline, playing itself out on internet forums and in cut-rate community halls all over the world, and particularly in the U.S.
It's a curious worldview that has emerged in the last 40 or 50 years, fuelled by a weird convergence of viewpoints, ranging from the fundamentalist Christian community who predict an end time rapture moment during which true believers will be swept up into the bosom of their god, and on the other hand, a New Age of believers, in touch with channelled extra-dimensional wisdom, who are preparing for the moment they will be translated into a higher dimensional state.
Gold bugs, anti-government militias, suppressed counter-gravity technology, UFOs, FEMA, the Illuminati, shape-shifting reptilians, ancient Sumeria, mind control, the sacred bloodline of Jesus, Antarctica, rogue Nazis and David Rockefeller all inhabit the fringes of this fringe in what is beginning to appear as the most massive conspiracy theory of all time and/or the most crucial evolutionary leap forward in human history.
Who is behind this nexus of belief systems? What are the common threads linking everyone from Texe Marrs, David Icke and Alex Jones to Margaret Starbird, Eckhart Tolle and Benjamin Creme?
